MAA Point Races
MAA Athlete of the Year Point System: Awards (male & female) will be presented to the Overall Athlete of the Year; Junior, 18 & under; Masters, 40-49; Grand Masters, 50-59; Senior Masters, 60 & up; Walker of the Year. This year there will be an overall male and female runner of the year. Two out-of-town races may be counted for points. A member may count one running/cycling event and one duathlon/triathlon event per year. Members receive the same number of points for an out-of-town event as for a regular MAA designated event. The overall MAA winner category does not apply to out-of-town events. To receive credit for out-of-town events members must turn in the race results or award from that race by the Jingle Bell Run in December.
